SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Sunday, November 29, 2020

Four years ago, Carpe Verbum began when a group of youth ministers had an idea of how to better equip our teens to pray everyday. The goal was to put Scripture in the hands of those teens and encourage them to not just read the word of God, but act on it.

We wanted our teens to seize the Word – and with that, Carpe Verbum was born.

Since then, we’ve been able to share step by step reflections based on the daily readings with thousands of teens and adults across the country.

But it is time to take things to the next level!

We’re excited to announce that the team over at Ablaze Ministries will be stepping in to continue the mission and expand the work of Carpe Verbum!

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for the ministry of Carpe Verbum!

Sunday, November 22, 2020

A couple weeks ago, we let you know that starting tomorrow, the Carpe Verbum team would be taking a break as we prepare for an exciting new chapter in the Carpe Verbum story…

We’ll be telling you more about that next weekend as we celebrate the first Sunday of Advent.

In the meantime, we could really use YOUR help. During this week when we’re all giving thanks, would you take just a minute and let us know how the ministry of Carpe Verbum has impacted your life.

Just click reply. We’d love to hear from all of you — no story is too small to share! Submit your stories to Maggie by emailing maggie@carpeverbum.org or head to our contact page -- carpeverbum.org/contact -- and submit your stories there!

We can’t wait to hear your stories and share with you about what’s coming next in ours!

Sunday, November 8, 2020

In seeking to follow the Holy Spirit’s promptings as the Lord reveals his will to our hearts, after Sunday, November 22nd, 2020 – The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe – we will be taking a break from sending out reflections at Carpe Verbum. In prayer and discernment, it has been made clear that the Lord is calling us and this ministry in some new directions, and we hope to see you back after the new year.

In the meantime, we encourage you to take advantage of the abundance of wonderful prayer resources available in the world today and encourage you to utilize them during this time! Whether it is the daily Gospel Reflections from Bishop Robert Barron, daily quotes from Ignatius Press and Cedar House called Daily Catholic Wisdom, the powerful and convenient prayer app Hallow, the Sunday readings broken open in Podcast form by the Lanky Guys; the list could go on and on. When we began Carpe Verbum, our hearts yearned for ministries that were using new media well to help people pray, and we think there is more of that than ever today.

Thank you so much for being a loyal subscriber to Carpe Verbum! We are so grateful for you, and will continue to pray that the Lord encounters you each and every day in His Word, allowing you to grow closer and closer to his heart here on this earth and to experience the fullness of his life for eternity in heaven.

In the Word,
The Carpe Verbum Team
